My Thanksgiving Menu

Long time no post, yea I know. Forgive me.

So you might be wondering what I plan to have on this day specifically for stuffing your face until you puke.

Seeing as I’m only fifteen and I’m definitely not a cook, I’ve kept it short and simple and got my recipes from one site. (peta2.com). Also I think one of the best things you can buy is a food dehydrator for the holidays. My mom got one and now I can make all sorts of vegan snacks.

Yummm Right?? I can’t wait this will be my first real Thanksgiving meal in years, by that I mean one that doesn’t just include the side dishes.

Okay so I cannot be bothered to calculate what day this is anymore. How’s life been treating you my loves? Life has been rather well to me. I have started to notice that I’ve lost some weight. Now while certain family members would use this against me as reasons I should not continue with this lifestyle, I see it as a wonderful thing because the weight loss is due to my lack of junk food. I no longer stuff candy ar any old junkfood into my mouth whenever the chance presents itself. I’m looking forward to my mother cooking me a delicious meal of tofu chili tonight and hopefully she’ll stop by Publix and pick up some tofutti better than sour cream so that it won’t be quite so spicy. I’m about to go look up how to scramble tofu and maybe have some for breakfast. Oops I forgot my mom’s making the chili tomorrow night. Today she’s supposed to make me so pasta with a vegan approved sauce and of course pasta that is also okay for me to consume.I’m considering having some of my Amy’s Soup when I get back from school, but I’m not sure if I’ll feel like cooking it when I get home from a gruesome day at school. Day Fifty Six

This morning I was up at midnight so I had a bowl of cereal then and another  when I woke up @ 6:30 am . Of course it was vegan approved and I drank it with Very Vanillia silk!  I didn’t eat anything for lunch, but I ate a whole sleeve of Ritz Brown Sugar crackers and for dinner I had Amy’s Kitchen Texas vegan burger on vegan bread with tofutti motserrella( bad spelling) and ketchup :D It was delicious. I’ve been keeping hydrated with lots of water!  Thanks for reading! :D

Day Seventy Four

Okay so I’m finally back!!! Today I got back from my holiday break in Miami! I would have posted on Tofurkey day, but I had no internet capablities. :C I havw to admit that my Tofurkey day dinner was lacking in the variety catagorey. But, it was still yummy. I had cranberry sauce and a vegan burger, It was the Teaxas one from Amy’s kitchen and It was quite delightful :] I even have a picture. I enjoyed some Very Vanilla Silk Soy Milk with my meal!DSC01680

Okay so I know its been a while, but i just lost interest in writing this blog. I cannot guarantee that I will be updating on a regular bases. I was just drinking a single serve very vanilla soy milk and researching  what products I use that contain GMOs(Genetically modified ingredients.) Silk Milk doesn’t This is very good because I’m trying not to eat products containing GMOs. My History teacher has been encouraging us to avoid GMOs and products by Monsanto after we viewed a film called Food Inc. in class. I strongly encourage you to view this film because it is very enlightening. I have also read a book recentally, called Skinny Bitch it is by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouine me a very deep look into what goes into our food and what goes n at slaughter houses. I will cautin however that there is some strong langauge, but I would hope that wouuldn’t stop you from checking the book out because considering the type of music we all listen to a few curse words shouldn’t scare you. I would also like to mention that I have begun using Victoria Secret’s new Vegan line which I find to be amazing. I’m using the Soothing line and they smell and feel great! I’ve also been using The vegan Berry Lip Butter( the smell makes my toes curl)  which is great for moisture!! Also I did a teatox!! Well, that’s all for now because I have some cleaning to do.

Purely Decadent Cookie Dough Ice Cream

Purely Decadent or even Heavenly are the only words that could possibly begin to describe what this rich, flavorful delicacy did to my taste buds. I assure you it was an orgasm to my mouth. Turtle Mountain knew what they were doing when they got into the Ice cream business. Of course I was hesitant to pick this beauty out from the freezer section of my local Publix seeing as it was made with coconut milk, which i am not a big fan of. There are several reasons I choose this one of course. The picture on the front had my mouth watering upon sight, but the small carton caused me a dilemma. For you see I knew it would not last long. Alas it must have been the  cookie dough that made me select it. I have been vegan since last September and had not gotten my sugar hungry paws on cookie dough ice cream since before I converted. I was so eager I had it open as soon as we got into the car and began scooping it out with my hands. The certified vegan symbol made it quite easy for me. So alas I choose this Purely Decadent instead of my usual So Delicious! Visit the freezer section at your local Publix, but be prepared for the addiction that you are sure to develop as soon as it touches your tongue.


St. Ives Vegan Skincare

  Everybody knows St.Ives skincare! They’ve been around for what seems like forever. I already knew they were cruelty-free(no animal testing) , but now they’ve  got a ton of product that contain no animal ingredients.  I actually just stumbled upon it in the store. What store? Well, none other than Wal-Mart. Finally vegan skincare that I don’t have to travel all the way across town to get! Not only is it convenient, its also really amazing. I got the St.Ives Soothing  oatmeal and Shea butter advanced body moisturizer. I also got its’ body wash counter part, St’ Ives oatmeal and Shea butter moisturizing body wash. I’ve got annoyingly sensitive skin. Since summer is fast approaching the dreaded fleas have returned. Just one bite has my skin breaking out in little bumps. So coming home the only thing I want to do is relax in a nice shower and get rid of the itch. St. Ives makes it happen with its soothing body wash and lotion. They really soothe! Both products are made with natural ingredients and contains no Parabens or Phthalates. The quality you expect of St.Ives without the gross, bad for you ingredients.


Green Day Cafe

I recently had my first fast food experience since going vegan! Where, you ask? Green Day Cafe! I enjoyed the Seven Layer Rice Bowl(make sure to ask for the vegan version!)  along with an Ice Cold Viva-Blast. When I say yum i mean it. I didn’t order any sides, but it came with a pickle slice on the side and it had to be the best pickle to ever mix with my saliva. It didn’t seem like much food especially on a tummy as empty as mine was, but by the time I’d shoveled it down my throat I could barely walk. It was really nice to be able to actually go through a drive-through and order a delicious meal. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone trying to live a healthier lifestyle.

5 Healthy Meal Ideas Your Kids Will Love

Great things come in little packages and meal times are no exception. Let’s face it – we have a hard time convincing our kids eat healthy food.
